As the founder of Grayson Law Firm, Clay has devoted his practice to representing nonprofit organizations throughout the United States, with a particular emphasis on colleges, universities, university foundations, research foundations, and college athletics. Clay lives in the Charleston, South Carolina area with his wife, Manoli, their twin sons, Alex and Rivers, and their dog, Pearl.
 
Outside the practice of law, he enjoys exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains with his family, hiking, fishing, searching for forgotten places, and collecting vintage guitars and other stringed instruments.
